What You'll Need

Drill - cordless works fine
Level - essential for straight mounting
Stud finder - solid wood shelves are heavy, mount into studs
Pencil - for marking drill points

Step-by-Step Summary

Find your studs - use a stud finder to locate wall studs. Mark two points at your desired height.
Mount the cleat - drill the French cleat bracket into the studs. Use the included screws (rated for 50+ lbs).
Check level - place your level on the cleat. Adjust if needed before tightening.
Hang the shelf - lift the shelf and slide the back channel onto the cleat. It should click into place.
Style it - add your books, plants, and decor. The live edge adds natural character to any wall.
