5. How to Choose the Right Corner Vanity Size

• Wall measurements: Measure both walls from the corner point outward. Most corner vanities fit areas of 24"-36" along each wall. Measure at countertop height (34") - walls can be slightly out of square, so check at the actual mounting height, not at the floor.
• Depth: The distance from the corner point to the front edge of the countertop typically ranges from 18"-22". This is enough for a vessel or drop-in sink. In very tight spaces, a shallower profile (16"-18") keeps the vanity from protruding too far into the room.
• Height: Standard vanity height is 30"-34". Tree trunk bases have a natural height determined by the trunk itself-we select and shape bases to land in the 30"-34" comfort range. Wall-mounted corner shelves can be set at any height.
• Sink compatibility: Vessel sinks (sitting on top) are the most popular choice for corner vanities - they showcase the live edge surface and don't require a cutout. Round vessel sinks (14"-16" diameter) fit best on corner countertops. Make sure the countertop surface extends at least 3"-4" beyond the sink edge on all sides.
• Door and toilet clearance: The whole point of a corner vanity is to save space. Before ordering, check that the vanity front edge won't interfere with the bathroom door swing, toilet clearance (minimum 15" from center of toilet to nearest obstruction), or shower door.

7. Installation & Care

a. Installation

• Tree trunk base vanities: Freestanding - position the base in the corner, set the live edge countertop on top, and level. Can be anchored to both corner walls with included L-brackets for extra stability. The natural weight of solid wood (base + countertop = 60-100 lbs) provides inherent stability.
• Wall-mounted corner shelves: Must be mounted into wall studs on both walls or with heavy-duty toggle bolts rated for the vanity weight plus sink and water. Use a level - a crooked corner shelf is very noticeable.
• Plumbing: Drain and supply lines typically come up from the floor in corner installations. The tree trunk base naturally conceals most plumbing. For wall-mounted corner shelves, wall-exit plumbing provides the cleanest look. Licensed plumber recommended for water and drain connections. Typical install: 1-2 hours.

b. Care

• Daily: Wipe water splashes from the countertop after use - especially around the vessel sink where water pools. In corner vanities, water can also collect where the countertop meets the two walls - wipe this junction regularly.
• Weekly: Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Dry immediately. No abrasive cleaners or bleach.
• Every 6-12 months: Reapply teak oil (for teak) or tung oil/marine sealant (for walnut, acacia, saman). Pay extra attention to the countertop area around the sink and the wall-junction edges where moisture can seep.
• Tree trunk base: Dust occasionally with a soft brush in textured and creviced areas. The base gets minimal water exposure, so it needs less frequent treatment than the countertop - every 12-18 months is sufficient.
• Ventilation: Run the bathroom exhaust fan during and after showers. In small bathrooms (where corner vanities are most common), good ventilation is even more critical-less airspace means humidity builds up faster.
