Chris Wu
Master Craftsman
Chris Wu handles most of the custom-size orders at Ashdeco - the strange ones, the complicated ones, the “are we even sure this can work?” kind of projects. Crooked walls, awkward corners, unusual dimensions, sketches drawn on napkins… somehow, those jobs usually end up on his workbench.

Biomorphic Fluidity Meets Grounded Seating Luxury
Elevate your living room sanctuary, light-filled reading corner, or modern architectural gallery with this handcrafted sculptural monolithic solid wood accent chair by Ashdeco. Characterized by its continuous wrap-around barrel backrest, organic side cutout portals, and deeply contoured scooped seat that flows seamlessly into tapered peg legs, this architectural statement piece elevates natural timber into pure functional sculpture. Designed as an alluring standalone accent, it combines ergonomic body-cradling comfort with an open, airy visual profile.
Authentic Hand-Carved Solid Wood Craftsmanship
Crafted entirely from genuine solid wood slabs, shaping the continuous seamless curves, deep negative space cutouts, and flared integrated legs demands master-level subtractive woodworking artistry. Running your hands over the silky timber contours reveals the rich grain depth, warm golden-teak undertones, and substantial tactile presence of authentic wood. Every single chair possesses its own distinct natural identity - showcasing continuous grain flows following every twist of the rounded frame, soft bullnose edges, and authentic timber knot signatures that deepen in character over time. A clear protective matte finish shields the wood against daily wear, handling, and ambient humidity while preserving its smooth, natural touch.

Honest Limitations & Maintenance
- Natural Wood Variations: As an authentic hand-carved solid wood creation, natural variations in grain swirls, shade depth, and subtle timber knot signatures are genuine marks of real wood craft.
- Substantial Solid Wood Mass: Due to the dense, high-grade timber construction, this chair is heavy and grounded, ensuring complete anti-tip, wobble-free seating stability.
- Chair Only: This listing includes the solid wood accent chair only (decorative throws or cushions are not included); potted monstera plant, credenza cabinet, and flooring accessories are sold separately.
- Care Instructions: Dust regularly with a soft, dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth. Promptly wipe away moisture and avoid abrasive chemical cleaners to preserve the smooth protective wood finish.
Furniture Placement
- Position your furniture away from direct sunlight, or use blinds or curtains to reduce sun exposure.
- Always set your furniture on a level surface to preserve its balance and structure.
Cleaning & Upkeep
- Regularly wipe down your furniture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia, as these can ruin the finish and damage the wood.
Weight Capacity & Use
- Respect the recommended weight limit for each piece to ensure its durability.
- When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging or pushing to prevent surface scratches or joint damage.
Preventing Mold & Mildew
- Quickly wipe up any spills to stop moisture from penetrating the wood.
- In areas with high humidity, use a dehumidifier to maintain an ideal moisture balance.

No two tables are ever the same
Every plank carries its own grain, color, and knots. These aren't flaws - they are time's signature, the fingerprint of a tree that lived for decades. When you touch a Ashdeco table, you're touching the years it stood through.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our pieces, commissions, and care.
How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
Can I return a piece?
Ready-made pieces: 30-day returns (must arrive intact). Commissions: final sale (since they're custom-made for you). If anything arrives damaged, we'll repair or replace at no cost.
