Huan Ngo
Master Craftsman
Huan Ngo is the only man left in the workshop who still uses a hand saw for the very first cut - not because he doesn’t know how to use the machines, but because, as he puts it, “machines don’t know respect.”

Two Glowing Windows on a Driftwood S-Curve
A tall column of solid driftwood sways from the floor to the shade in a full S-curve, leaning left at the lower body, crossing back right at the middle, and straightening toward the linen shade on top. Two large oval openings are carved through the body at the widest point of each curve, staggered at different angles. Warm amber light fills both from inside the hollow core, casting two distinct pools of golden light onto the floor, the sofa, and the wall behind it. This wooden floor lamp glows from two directions at once.
A Full-Body Sway
This is not a subtle lean. The body shifts six to eight inches off vertical at each bend before crossing back. The result is a standing sculpture that looks frozen mid-sway, with two glowing windows that follow the rhythm of the curves. The lower opening faces slightly forward. The upper opening rotates roughly 90 degrees from the lower one, so from any single angle you see one opening fully and the other at an oblique. Walk around and each opening reveals and conceals in sequence.
Natural Two-Tone Grain
The driftwood carries striking two-tone grain that makes the S-curve visible even with the light off. Darker heartwood bands in deep walnut and espresso brown flow along the outer edges of each curve. Lighter sapwood bands in warm honey and golden caramel flow along the inner edges. These tonal bands follow the S-path from base to top, creating a visual current that guides the eye up the full height. The contrast is natural, not stained or enhanced.
Light From Two Carved Windows
Both openings are carved with thick, rounded edges. The inner surfaces are sanded smooth and finished to display standard, because they are fully visible and illuminated. When the LED is on, the inner walls reveal grain detail, mineral streaks, and color depth that disappear when this driftwood floor lamp is off.
A warm LED strip runs the full height of the hollow interior. An inline dimmer on the braided cord controls the inner glow and the shade bulb together. At full brightness, the shade provides reading-level room light while the openings add dramatic accent. Dimmed low, the openings become two floating amber eyes in a dark room, casting soft crescents across floor and wall.
Three Layers From One Piece
The tapered linen shade crowns the narrow neck where the body straightens. Uplight from the shade. Downlight from the shade. Dual mid-height accent from the two carved openings. Three light layers from one piece of driftwood.
Where to Place This Wooden Floor Lamp
- Beside a sofa where the two openings cast light across seating from different angles
- Bedroom corners as a reading lamp and sculptural night light in one
- Flanking an entryway or hallway as a matched pair
- Hotel lobbies, spas, or gallery spaces where the S-curve becomes a focal point
Integrated Base
A wide, organic-shaped foot extends naturally from the lower curve of the S, flaring outward to provide stability for the tall, offset center of gravity. Flat bottom, felt-padded. No separate disc or pedestal. No wobble on carpet or hardwood.
Care and Placement
- Dry indoor use only. For covered terraces in mild, dry climates, keep away from direct rain or salt spray.
- Dust the inner ledges with a soft brush or compressed air. Wipe the outer surface with a dry cloth.
- Avoid wet cleaning on the inner illuminated surfaces.

- When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging or pushing to prevent surface scratches or joint damage.
Preventing Mold & Mildew
- Quickly wipe up any spills to stop moisture from penetrating the wood.

No two tables are ever the same
Every plank carries its own grain, color, and knots. These aren't flaws - they are time's signature, the fingerprint of a tree that lived for decades. When you touch a Ashdeco table, you're touching the years it stood through.

How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
