Huan Ngo
Master Craftsman
Huan Ngo is the only man left in the workshop who still uses a hand saw for the very first cut - not because he doesn’t know how to use the machines, but because, as he puts it, “machines don’t know respect.”

Three Branches, One Root, One Lamp
Three driftwood branches twist and climb around each other from a root-like base to the shade above. They cross, separate, and rejoin at different heights, leaving open voids between them where you can see straight through to the wall behind. This wooden floor lamp looks like a piece of forest frozen mid-growth, with a botanical leaf drum shade glowing warm on top.
The Vine Structure
Each branch is a separate carved strand that follows its own spiral path from base to neck. The three strands weave in and out of each other, crossing at four to five junctions on the way up. Between the crossings, irregular openings let room light pass through the body from every angle. The strands vary in thickness, tapering as they climb and thickening where they cross for structural strength.
The overall form narrows at the middle where two branches pull apart, creating the widest opening, then gathers tight again beneath the shade where all three converge into a single neck.
Carved by Hand in Vietnam
Our artisans carve each strand from solid driftwood, shaping the curves and crossings by hand with gouges, rasps, and sandpaper through multiple grits. No CNC. No factory molds. No glued laminations. The grain flows continuously along each strand, following the twist. Because every driftwood blank has different grain density and natural curvature, no two lamps come out the same. The crossing angles, strand thickness, and opening sizes shift from piece to piece.
Root Base
The bottom of this driftwood floor lamp splays outward into organic, root-like feet that anchor the lamp to the floor. The roots spread wide enough to stabilize the tall body on carpet or hardwood without needing a separate disc or pedestal. Felt-padded underneath.
The Leaf Shade
A large cylindrical drum shade sits on top, featuring a cut-out botanical leaf pattern in golden amber tones on a warm cream background. When the bulb is on, the leaf silhouettes glow from within, projecting soft botanical shadows onto the ceiling and upper walls. The shade turns the lamp from a sculptural wood piece into a full room light source.
Warm Two-Tone Grain
The driftwood carries warm walnut brown tones with lighter honey highlights on the raised ridges of each strand and deeper chocolate in the recessed curves. The color shift follows the twist, rotating lighter and darker faces as each strand spirals upward. Natural grain, not stained or enhanced.

No two tables are ever the same
Every plank carries its own grain, color, and knots. These aren't flaws - they are time's signature, the fingerprint of a tree that lived for decades. When you touch a Ashdeco table, you're touching the years it stood through.

Everything you need to know about our pieces, commissions, and care.
How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
Can I return a piece?
Ready-made pieces: 30-day returns (must arrive intact). Commissions: final sale (since they're custom-made for you). If anything arrives damaged, we'll repair or replace at no cost.
