Conventional sofas use hidden frames made of plywood, particle board, or softwood pine. Ashdeco sofas are built from premium hardwood - walnut, acacia, teak - hand-sculpted into flowing organic forms meant to be seen, touched, and admired. The frame isn't hidden support. It's the star.

3. How to Choose the Right Sofa Size

• Room size first: Sofa should fill ~⅔ of seating wall. Leave breathing room on both sides.
• Width: 60"-72" (2-seater), 72"-84" (3-seater). Sculptural pieces vary-check individual dimensions.
• Depth: 30"-36" total. Deeper (34"+) for lounging, shallower (30"-32") for formal/upright.
• Height: Seat 16"-18" standard. Floor sofas 8"-12". Back height 28"-34".
• Clearance: 36" min between sofa front and coffee table. 24" behind if not against wall.

5. Cushions - Included or Add Your Own?

• Cushions included: Some models ship with premium cushions matched to frame shape, density, and cover.
• Frame only (most models): Majority sold as pure wood-frame pieces - lets you choose your own fabric, color, firmness.
• Custom cushion tips: Order custom-cut foam from upholstery shop with seat template. HR 35-45 density foam holds shape. Sunbrella outdoor fabric works indoors too - extremely durable.

6. Caring for Your Solid Wood Sofa

• Weekly: Dust frame with dry microfiber cloth. Soft brush for deeper sculptural grooves.
• Monthly: Wipe with slightly damp cloth, dry immediately. Removes hand oils from armrests.
• Every 6-12 months: Wood oil or furniture wax on frame. Focus on armrests and hand-contact areas.
• Cushion care: Flip/rotate monthly. Vacuum fabric covers. Spot-clean or dry-clean removable covers.
• Sunlight: Solid wood darkens with UV. Rotate positions annually or use curtains for even aging.
