Chairs Design

1. Solid Wood Chairs - Sculpted, Not Assembled

An Ashdeco chair isn't built from separate parts bolted together on a factory floor. It's sculpted - carved by hand from solid hardwood into flowing, organic forms that follow the natural grain of the wood. These are solid wood chairs in the truest sense - no joints hiding under upholstery, no plywood skeleton, no MDF core wrapped in veneer.

2. The Ashdeco Difference: Art You Can Sit In

a. Hand-Sculpted by Vietnamese Artisans - Not Factory-Molded

Every chair is individually carved by a skilled artisan. Not CNC-routed from a digital file, not injection-molded, not assembled from pre-cut parts. Competitors sell "organic" and "sculptural" chairs at scale. But you can't mass-produce sculpture - you can only mass-produce approximations of it. Ours are the real thing.

b. 100% Solid Hardwood-No Hidden Materials

Solid walnut, acacia, or teak all the way through. No plywood frame hidden under padding. No particle board seat pan under a cushion. Frame, seat, backrest, armrests - one continuous material sculpted into one continuous form.

c. Each Chair Is One of a Kind

No two Ashdeco chairs are exactly identical. The chair you receive has never existed before and will never be exactly replicated.

3. Chair Styles We Offer

a. Sculptural Accent Chairs

Statement armchairs with flowing, organic curves - designed as the visual focal point of a room. Not background furniture - foreground art.

b. Organic Modern Lounge Chairs

Lower, wider, more relaxed - designed for sinking into with a book or conversation. Ergonomic seat angles for comfortable lounging.

c. Artistic Sculptural Chairs

The most art-forward pieces - shapes that challenge conventional chair design. For design-forward homes, galleries, and creative studios.

4. Wood Types Used

• Walnut: Deep, rich dark tones -  premier choice for sculptural furniture. Ideal for hand-carving smooth, organic curves.
• Acacia: Bold two-tone grain, honey-to-chocolate contrast. Natural color variation creates visual movement across every curve.
• Teak: Golden-brown with natural oils. Exceptionally strong for its weight - solid and durable without being overly heavy.

5. Where to Use a Solid Wood Chair

• Living room - accent chair: Position beside a sofa. Pair with a coffee table.

• Bedroom - reading chair: Corner with a floor lamp and side table.
• Home office - desk chair alternative: Pair with a traditional desk.
• Entryway - sculptural accent: Sit to put on shoes + sets the design tone.
• Dining room - head-of-table: Sculptural armchair at the head, wood benches along sides. Pair with dining table.

6. How to Choose the Right Chair

• Primary use: Daily sitting → lounge chair. Statement → sculptural accent. Art display → artistic sculptural.
• Room size: One statement chair for small rooms. Pair two across a coffee table for larger rooms.
• Comfort: Ergonomic curves, firm support. Add sheepskin or cushion for extra softness.
• Weight capacity: 250-300 lbs. Built for decades of daily use.
• No cushion included: Sold as solid wood. Any standard cushion/throw can be added.

7. Styling Your Solid Wood Chair

• Throw: Sheepskin or wool draped over the chair - soft vs smooth wood contrast.
• Side table: End table or coffee table beside the chair.
• Floor lamp: Arc or adjustable reading lamp for a reading zone.
• Bookshelf: Tree bookshelf nearby - ultimate reading corner.
• Console table: Console table behind/beside for display surface.
• Let it breathe: Give 12"-18" clearance on all sides so the form reads clearly.

8. Care & Maintenance

• Weekly: Dust all surfaces with soft dry cloth.
• Monthly: Barely damp cloth + mild soap if needed. Dry immediately.
• Every 6-12 months: Apply wood oil/wax. Focus on seat and armrests (highest-contact).
• Floor protection: Felt pads under legs.
• Moving: Always lift, never drag. 25-45 lbs typically.
• Sunlight: Avoid prolonged direct sun. Rotate or use curtains.
