Master Craftsman
Huan Ngo is the only man left in the workshop who still uses a hand saw for the very first cut - not because he doesn’t know how to use the machines, but because, as he puts it, “machines don’t know respect.”

A Glowing Eye Carved From Solid Driftwood
A vessel of solid driftwood stands beside the bed. Narrow at the top, wide at the belly, narrow again at the base. A large oval opening is carved through the widest point of the body, and warm amber light fills it from inside like a glowing eye. The light pours through the opening onto the floor, the bed frame, and the lower edge of the duvet. A linen shade sits on the narrow neck above, adding soft room light from the top. One piece of driftwood. One continuous surface. One hole where the light lives. That is this wooden floor lamp in a sentence.
The Vessel Shape
The form starts wide at the base, swells to its widest diameter at about one-third of the total height, then tapers gradually to a narrow neck beneath the shade. The oval opening sits right at the widest point, where the wood has enough material to curve around the void without losing structural strength. The opening follows the proportion of an eye: pointed at the top and bottom, widest across the middle. The edges are thick, rounded, and smoothed, with the grain flowing continuously around the entire perimeter.
Dark Outside, Warm Inside
The outer face shows the darker, weathered character of aged driftwood: deep walnut brown with flowing cathedral grain, subtle grey mineral streaks, and dense surface compression from years of natural exposure. The inner face of the opening glows with lighter honey and caramel tones when the LED is on.
That contrast is the defining visual feature of this driftwood floor lamp. At night, the opening looks like it contains a small fire. During the day with the light off, it reads as a sculptural void framed by continuous flowing grain.
Three Layers of Light
A warm LED strip lines the inside of the hollow chamber, hidden from direct view. The light reflects off the curved inner wood surfaces before exiting through the oval opening, warming and softening the color temperature.
The tapered linen shade on top provides uplight and downlight. The carved opening provides directional mid-height accent light. Three layers of illumination from one piece. An inline dimmer on the braided cord controls everything together. Full brightness for reading. Low dim for a night light that paints one warm oval across the bedroom floor.
Where to Place This Wooden Floor Lamp
- Beside the bed, where the oval opening casts light at mattress height without glaring into your eyes
- Living room corners as a warm sculptural accent
- Flanking a sofa or armchair as a matched pair
- Hotel lobbies, spas, or galleries where the driftwood vessel shape becomes a conversation piece
Integrated Base
The base flares outward from the vessel body into a wide, stable foot. The transition is seamless, a gradual widening of the same continuous surface rather than a separate disc or pedestal. Flat bottom, felt-padded to protect floors. No wobble on carpet or hardwood.
Care and Placement
- Dry indoor use only. Not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor spaces.
- Dust the inner ledge of the opening with a soft brush or compressed air.
- Wipe the outer surface with a dry or barely damp cloth.

- Always set your furniture on a level surface to preserve its balance and structure.
Cleaning & Upkeep

Weight Capacity & Use
- Respect the recommended weight limit for each piece to ensure its durability.
- When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging or pushing to prevent surface scratches or joint damage.
Preventing Mold & Mildew
- Quickly wipe up any spills to stop moisture from penetrating the wood.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our pieces, commissions, and care.
How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
Can I return a piece?
Ready-made pieces: 30-day returns (must arrive intact). Commissions: final sale (since they're custom-made for you). If anything arrives damaged, we'll repair or replace at no cost.
