Everything you need to know
Detailed information about this piece — tap a section to expand.
This is not your typical wall shelf shaped vaguely like a mushroom. Look closer and you will see the difference: hand-carved gills radiating across the entire underside of the cap, just like the real thing growing on a forest floor.
Our artisans carve each shelf from a single block of solid wood. One piece. No joints, no assembly between cap and stem. The grain flows continuously from the curved stem up through the cap, and every natural knot and color shift stays visible in the finished piece. That is something a factory mold or CNC router simply cannot replicate.
What makes this shelf different
The carved gill detail underneath the cap is the standout feature. Most mushroom shelves on the market have a smooth, flat underside. Ours recreates the radial gill pattern you would find on an actual mushroom, visible from below whenever someone walks past. It turns a functional shelf into a conversation piece.
The stem curves organically from the wall rather than standing straight like a dowel. It bends the way a real mushroom leans toward light, giving the whole piece a sense of movement even when it is holding your books and candles still.
Need a size that fits your specific wall space or pairs with an existing shelf arrangement? Our team can customize dimensions to match. Contact us here and share your measurements.
Mounting
The stem attaches flush against the wall with concealed hardware. All brackets, screws, and wall anchors are included. Most people finish installation in under 15 minutes with a drill and a level.
Styling ideas
Group two or three at different heights for a woodland wall display in a nursery, reading nook, or bedroom. The warm honey tone of the wood works well next to white walls, exposed brick, or darker accent colors. Display small plants, crystals, candles, or a short stack of books on the flat cap surface. Each shelf supports up to 15 lbs.
Materials and finish
Solid wood with a satin oil finish that brings out the natural grain without adding shine. Smooth, rounded edges throughout. Safe for kids' rooms.
Every piece comes out slightly different because the wood decides. The knots land where they land. The grain curves how it curves. That is the whole point.
Furniture Placement
- Position your furniture away from direct sunlight, or use blinds or curtains to reduce sun exposure.
- Always set your furniture on a level surface to preserve its balance and structure.
Cleaning & Upkeep
- Regularly wipe down your furniture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia, as these can ruin the finish and damage the wood.
Weight Capacity & Use
- Respect the recommended weight limit for each piece to ensure its durability.
- When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging or pushing to prevent surface scratches or joint damage.
Preventing Mold & Mildew
- Quickly wipe up any spills to stop moisture from penetrating the wood.
- In areas with high humidity, use a dehumidifier to maintain an ideal moisture balance.

No two tables are ever the same
Every plank carries its own grain, color, and knots. These aren't flaws - they are time's signature, the fingerprint of a tree that lived for decades. When you touch a Ashdeco table, you're touching the years it stood through.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our pieces, commissions, and care.
How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
Can I return a piece?
Ready-made pieces: 30-day returns (must arrive intact). Commissions: final sale (since they're custom-made for you). If anything arrives damaged, we'll repair or replace at no cost.
