Everything you need to know
Detailed information about this piece — tap a section to expand.
A solid wood tree trunk mounted on your wall, with mushroom-cap shelves spiraling around the body and two bird nest hollows carved directly into the front. The upper hollow is sized for a small nest, moss arrangement, or a cluster of objects. The lower hollow sits deeper and works for an owl figurine, a candle grouping, or a single trailing plant. Together they turn a wall shelf into something that looks like it grew out of a forest.
Our Vietnamese artisans carve every piece by hand from a single solid wood block. The trunk, the mushroom caps, and both hollows all come from the same piece of hardwood. Nothing is glued on or assembled from separate parts. The natural grain, knots, and color shifts are kept visible throughout.

Crown cap and three spiral shelves
The top of the trunk ends in a wide mushroom cap that doubles as the highest shelf. Three more caps spiral down the sides of the column, alternating left and right. Each cap is hand-shaped with a curved top and a ribbed underside that catches light the way a real bracket fungus does. The shelves hold candles, small potted plants, figurines, jars, framed photos, or dried flowers. Shelf count is adjustable (3 to 6).
Two bird nest hollows
Both hollows are carved smooth on the inside, open at the front, and left completely empty for you to style. The upper nook is slightly smaller, good for a decorative nest with eggs, a small succulent, crystals, or a tealight. The lower nook is wider and deeper, fitting a small sculpture, a ceramic owl, a trailing vine, or a candle arrangement. Each hollow holds objects up to about 5 to 6 inches tall. Swap out what you put inside whenever you feel like a change.
Looking for a living setup inside the hollows? We offer a custom waterproofing service that seals the interior for moss, aquatic plants, or small water features. Contact our team for pricing and options.
Solid wood, one block
The whole column is carved from a single block of hardwood. Not veneered. Not assembled from separate boards. The grain runs continuously from bottom to top, and you can follow it from the trunk into the mushroom caps and around the edges of each hollow. The warm honey tone in the photos comes from the natural wood, finished with a protective coat that keeps the surface smooth without hiding the texture.
Fully customizable
Mushroom shelf count (3 to 6), nook size and placement, column height, wood species, and finish tone are all adjustable. LED strip lighting inside the hollows is available. Tell us your wall dimensions and we will design the right column for it.
What makes this different
Two bird nest hollows in a single column is something you will not find from any other shop. Most mushroom shelves are small resin or MDF pieces meant for lightweight decor. This is a full-height solid wood sculpture with real shelving capacity, real weight, and two carved display cavities built into the trunk. Our artisans spend over a week on each piece.
Furniture Placement
- Position your furniture away from direct sunlight, or use blinds or curtains to reduce sun exposure.
- Always set your furniture on a level surface to preserve its balance and structure.
Cleaning & Upkeep
- Regularly wipe down your furniture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia, as these can ruin the finish and damage the wood.
Weight Capacity & Use
- Respect the recommended weight limit for each piece to ensure its durability.
- When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging or pushing to prevent surface scratches or joint damage.
Preventing Mold & Mildew
- Quickly wipe up any spills to stop moisture from penetrating the wood.
- In areas with high humidity, use a dehumidifier to maintain an ideal moisture balance.

No two tables are ever the same
Every plank carries its own grain, color, and knots. These aren't flaws - they are time's signature, the fingerprint of a tree that lived for decades. When you touch a Ashdeco table, you're touching the years it stood through.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our pieces, commissions, and care.
How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
Can I return a piece?
Ready-made pieces: 30-day returns (must arrive intact). Commissions: final sale (since they're custom-made for you). If anything arrives damaged, we'll repair or replace at no cost.
