Everything you need to know
Detailed information about this piece — tap a section to expand.
Elevate your sanctuary with a piece that transcends the boundary between fine art and functional furniture. The Artisan Sculptural Lounge Chair is engineered to be the soul of a room—a bold, hand-carved statement crafted from massive sections of solid wood. This isn't just a place to sit; it is a grounding presence that brings the raw, untamed energy of the forest into the refined atmosphere of a modern home.
The Tactile Honesty of Sculpted Solid Wood
What defines "real wood" in a world of hollow substitutes? It is the unmistakable weight and the sensory warmth that only solid wood can provide. Our artisans treat the timber as a living medium, hand-sculpting the frame to reveal a continuous flow of grain that moves seamlessly around the chair’s organic curves.
When you reach out to touch the armrests, you aren't feeling a thin veneer or a cold laminate. You are interacting with the honesty of the timber—the unique swirls of natural knots, the deep, complex grain patterns, and the substantial weight of a piece built for longevity. Every curve is meticulously hand-sanded to a satin-smooth finish, ensuring the wood is as pleasant to the touch as it is striking to the eye.
Artistic Form Meets True Function
While many sculptural pieces sacrifice comfort for aesthetics, this chair is designed for the daily ritual of relaxation.
- Ergonomic Flow: The deep, low-profile seat is carved to cradle the body, paired with high-density cushions that provide a soft contrast to the strength of the wooden frame.
- Monumental Presence: The broad, root-like base ensures excellent stability, making it reliable for hours of reading or quiet reflection.
- One-of-a-Kind Identity: Because we follow the natural characteristics of the wood, no two chairs are ever identical. Your chair will have a unique silhouette and grain pattern.
Placement and Architectural Rhythm
This chair is designed to anchor a space. It works beautifully as a statement piece in:
- The Sunlit Reading Nook: Placed near large windows to highlight the sculpted wood grain.
- The Executive Office: Adding warmth and natural character to a professional space.
- The Master Suite: Creating a private and relaxing corner.

Honest Limitations and Care
This is solid wood in its most natural form. As a living material, it responds to its environment. Natural knots, color variations, and minor surface checks are part of its character. To maintain its condition, avoid placing the chair in direct sunlight or near extreme heat sources.
Furniture Placement
- Position your furniture away from direct sunlight, or use blinds or curtains to reduce sun exposure.
- Always set your furniture on a level surface to preserve its balance and structure.
Cleaning & Upkeep
- Regularly wipe down your furniture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia, as these can ruin the finish and damage the wood.
Weight Capacity & Use
- Respect the recommended weight limit for each piece to ensure its durability.
- When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging or pushing to prevent surface scratches or joint damage.
Preventing Mold & Mildew
- Quickly wipe up any spills to stop moisture from penetrating the wood.
- In areas with high humidity, use a dehumidifier to maintain an ideal moisture balance.

No two tables are ever the same
Every plank carries its own grain, color, and knots. These aren't flaws - they are time's signature, the fingerprint of a tree that lived for decades. When you touch a Ashdeco table, you're touching the years it stood through.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our pieces, commissions, and care.
How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
Can I return a piece?
Ready-made pieces: 30-day returns (must arrive intact). Commissions: final sale (since they're custom-made for you). If anything arrives damaged, we'll repair or replace at no cost.
