Architectural Stepped Geometry Meets Serene Bedside Luxury
Elevate your master bedroom, guest suite, or minimalist sleeping sanctuary with this handcrafted sculptural stepped solid wood nightstand by Ashdeco. Characterized by its thick live-edge top slab, angled trapezoid middle pillar, open book display niche, and a softly contoured bottom drawer base with a warm brass pull knob, this statement bedside piece harmonizes organic warmth with grounded structural balance. Designed to rest at the perfect mattress height, it keeps table lamps, nighttime reads, and personal essentials organized within arm's reach.
Authentic Solid Wood Craftsmanship
Crafted entirely from genuine solid wood slabs, shaping the stepped angled profile, live-edge top bevel, and curved drawer enclosure requires master-level artisan woodworking. Running your hands across the silky timber surfaces reveals the rich grain depth, warm honey-teak undertones, and substantial tactile presence of authentic wood. Every single nightstand possesses its own distinct natural identity - showcasing continuous grain flows wrapping through the joints, soft bullnose corners, and authentic timber knot signatures that deepen in character over time. A specialized waterproof and scratch-resistant matte protective seal shields the timber against water glass rings, candle heat, and daily bedside wear while preserving its smooth, natural touch.
Why Choose This Stepped Sculptural Nightstand?
- Signature Stepped Pedestal Architecture: Dynamic angled mid-section creates an eye-catching open visual lightness while grounding the unit with robust, wobble-free stability.
- Dual-Tier Bedside Storage: Combines an open horizontal niche for book stacks and reading glasses with a closed bottom drawer for private bedroom essentials.
- Thick Live-Edge Countertop: Sinuous natural live edge profile provides a generous surface for bedside ceramic lamps, aromatherapy candles, and styling accents.
- Versatile Modern Aesthetic: Pairs effortlessly with Japandi, organic modern, wabi-sabi, Scandinavian, and contemporary minimalist bedroom interiors.

Honest Limitations & Maintenance
- Natural Wood Variations: As an authentic solid wood creation, natural variations in live-edge curvature, grain swirls, shade depth, and subtle timber knot signatures are genuine marks of real wood craft.
- Substantial Solid Wood Mass: Due to the dense, high-grade timber construction, this nightstand is heavy and grounded, ensuring complete anti-tip bedside stability.
- Nightstand Only: This listing includes the solid wood nightstand with drawer only; bedside lamp, candles, books, bed frame, bedding, large floor vase, and rug are sold separately.
- Care Instructions: Dust regularly with a soft, dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth. Use coasters under beverage cups to preserve the smooth protective wood finish.
Furniture Placement
- Position your furniture away from direct sunlight, or use blinds or curtains to reduce sun exposure.
- Always set your furniture on a level surface to preserve its balance and structure.
Cleaning & Upkeep
- Regularly wipe down your furniture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia, as these can ruin the finish and damage the wood.
Weight Capacity & Use
- Respect the recommended weight limit for each piece to ensure its durability.
- When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging or pushing to prevent surface scratches or joint damage.
Preventing Mold & Mildew
- Quickly wipe up any spills to stop moisture from penetrating the wood.
- In areas with high humidity, use a dehumidifier to maintain an ideal moisture balance.

No two tables are ever the same
Every plank carries its own grain, color, and knots. These aren't flaws - they are time's signature, the fingerprint of a tree that lived for decades. When you touch a Ashdeco table, you're touching the years it stood through.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our pieces, commissions, and care.
How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
Can I return a piece?
Ready-made pieces: 30-day returns (must arrive intact). Commissions: final sale (since they're custom-made for you). If anything arrives damaged, we'll repair or replace at no cost.
