Everything you need to know
Detailed information about this piece — tap a section to expand.
A solid wood stool carved into the shape of a mushroom. The stem is thick at the base, narrows in the middle, and flares out into a flat round top with a natural wavy edge. The entire piece is sanded smooth and finished in a warm golden tone that shows the wood grain on every surface. No bark, no rough spots. Just polished solid wood from top to bottom.
Our Vietnamese artisans carve every piece by hand from a single solid wood block. The stem and the top are one continuous piece of hardwood. The wavy edge of the tabletop follows the natural shape of the wood, so no two tops are exactly the same size or outline.

Sold individually. Each stool is one piece. Group two or three at different heights to build a cluster, or use one on its own next to a sofa, beside a bed, or under a window.
Live edge round top
The tabletop is flat and smooth on top with visible wood grain rings. The outer edge is left natural, rising and dipping in gentle waves where the wood wanted to go. The surface holds a coffee cup, a book, a small lamp, a candle, or a potted plant. The irregular edge gives the top a handmade character that a perfectly round machine-cut table cannot match.
Sculpted mushroom stem
The stem starts wide at the floor, pulls inward at the midsection, and flares again where it meets the underside of the top. The curves are smooth and continuous, shaped to resemble a real mushroom stem. The base is flat on the bottom for stable placement on any floor surface.
Multiple uses
Works as a side table next to a sofa or armchair, a bedside table, a plant stand for a large pot, a stool for extra seating, a bathroom accent table, or a display pedestal in an entryway. The solid wood construction handles daily use without wobbling.
Fully customizable
Top diameter, total height, stem thickness, wood species, and finish tone are all adjustable. We carve each piece to order.
What makes this different
Most mushroom stools on the market are simple tree stumps cut flat on top, or factory-made resin pieces. This one is sculpted by hand into a true mushroom form with a shaped stem that curves inward and flares outward. The live edge top and polished grain finish come from skilled hand work, not a lathe. Solid wood throughout, no hollow core, no veneer.
Furniture Placement
- Position your furniture away from direct sunlight, or use blinds or curtains to reduce sun exposure.
- Always set your furniture on a level surface to preserve its balance and structure.
Cleaning & Upkeep
- Regularly wipe down your furniture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia, as these can ruin the finish and damage the wood.
Weight Capacity & Use
- Respect the recommended weight limit for each piece to ensure its durability.
- When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging or pushing to prevent surface scratches or joint damage.
Preventing Mold & Mildew
- Quickly wipe up any spills to stop moisture from penetrating the wood.
- In areas with high humidity, use a dehumidifier to maintain an ideal moisture balance.

No two tables are ever the same
Every plank carries its own grain, color, and knots. These aren't flaws - they are time's signature, the fingerprint of a tree that lived for decades. When you touch a Ashdeco table, you're touching the years it stood through.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our pieces, commissions, and care.
How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
Can I return a piece?
Ready-made pieces: 30-day returns (must arrive intact). Commissions: final sale (since they're custom-made for you). If anything arrives damaged, we'll repair or replace at no cost.
