Everything you need to know
Detailed information about this piece — tap a section to expand.
Seven half-moon shelves fan out from a central trunk mounted flat against your wall. Each shelf is shaped like half a mushroom cap, with a raised rim curving around the outer edge and carved gill lines radiating across the surface from trunk to rim. The top shelf is a full circle, capping the whole structure like the crown of a mushroom.
This is not a tree bookshelf with flat plank branches. Every shelf is a sculptural piece with visible surface detailing. The fan-shaped gill pattern catches light across the grain, and the raised rim around each shelf creates a shallow basin that keeps books standing and small objects from rolling off. No bookends needed.
How the shelves are arranged
The shelves alternate left and right as they climb the trunk, spiraling upward. This staggers the weight distribution and gives you clear sightlines to every tier from the front. Books and objects on one shelf do not block what is on the shelf above or below it.
The trunk is a straight vertical column with visible wood grain running its full length. It sits flush against the wall and serves as the structural spine for the entire piece.
Mounting
A concealed steel plate bolts to your wall studs behind the trunk. The trunk covers it completely. No visible brackets or hardware from the front. All mounting screws, anchors, and a drilling template are included. Two people, about 30 minutes.
What you can put on it
Each half-moon shelf holds 10 to 15 lbs. That is 4 to 6 books stacked or standing, a small potted plant, a ceramic mug, candles, or a mix. The raised rim keeps everything contained without needing bookends or guards.
People use it for book collections, indoor trailing plants, ceramics, crystals, small sculptures, and framed photos. The spiraling layout makes the whole piece look full and interesting even when only half the shelves are loaded.
Where it works
Living rooms, hallways, bedrooms, reading corners, home offices. It takes up almost no floor space because everything hangs on the wall. The alternating fan shape keeps the visual footprint narrow enough for tight wall sections between doorways or windows.
Material and finish
Solid oak with a satin oil finish. Warm honey-amber tones with prominent grain visible on every surface. Smooth rounded edges on all rims and the trunk. The finish deepens naturally over time with light exposure.

Every piece is carved by our artisans in Vietnam. The gill pattern spacing, grain direction, and knot placement vary from piece to piece. That is the nature of handmade solid wood.
Furniture Placement
- Position your furniture away from direct sunlight, or use blinds or curtains to reduce sun exposure.
- Always set your furniture on a level surface to preserve its balance and structure.
Cleaning & Upkeep
- Regularly wipe down your furniture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia, as these can ruin the finish and damage the wood.
Weight Capacity & Use
- Respect the recommended weight limit for each piece to ensure its durability.
- When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging or pushing to prevent surface scratches or joint damage.
Preventing Mold & Mildew
- Quickly wipe up any spills to stop moisture from penetrating the wood.
- In areas with high humidity, use a dehumidifier to maintain an ideal moisture balance.

No two tables are ever the same
Every plank carries its own grain, color, and knots. These aren't flaws - they are time's signature, the fingerprint of a tree that lived for decades. When you touch a Ashdeco table, you're touching the years it stood through.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our pieces, commissions, and care.
How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
Can I return a piece?
Ready-made pieces: 30-day returns (must arrive intact). Commissions: final sale (since they're custom-made for you). If anything arrives damaged, we'll repair or replace at no cost.
