Everything you need to know
Detailed information about this piece — tap a section to expand.
A solid wood trunk rises from a forked root base, branches into four arms, and each arm carries a mushroom cap shelf at a different height. The trunk continues past the top shelf and tapers to a natural point, so the piece reads as a full tree section mounted on your wall, not just a rack of shelves.
The trunk and the caps are two different tones of wood. The trunk is a deeper reddish brown with visible bark texture, grain lines, and natural knots. The caps and branch arms are a lighter golden tan, smooth and sanded. The contrast between dark trunk and light shelves gives the piece depth without paint or stain. Both tones come from the natural wood.
Our Vietnamese artisans carve every piece by hand from solid wood. The trunk, every branch arm, all four caps, and the root base are shaped and finished by hand. The natural grain, knots, and color variation are kept visible throughout.

Four dished mushroom cap shelves
Each cap is slightly concave on top with a gently raised rim, creating a shallow dish shape that keeps small objects from sliding off. The caps alternate left and right as they climb the trunk: lower left, middle right, middle left, top right. Each shelf connects to the trunk through a smooth branch arm that curves outward. The caps are oval to fan-shaped, wide enough for a potted plant, a ceramic cup, a candle, or a small decorative object.
Gill carving on the front face of every cap
Hand-carved gill lines radiate from the branch connection outward to the rim on the underside of each cap. The gill pattern is visible from the front and below, adding carved detail that catches side light.
Forked root base
The bottom of the trunk splits into two root-like feet that spread outward, anchoring the visual weight of the piece. A natural crack runs between the two roots, preserved from the original wood. The root base gives the shelf a grounded, tree-like foundation on the wall.
Trunk extends above the top shelf
The main trunk does not stop at the highest cap. It continues upward past the top shelf and tapers to a natural point, completing the tree silhouette. This detail separates it from shelves where the trunk ends at the last bracket.
Fully customizable
Cap count (3 to 6), total height, cap sizes, wood tone contrast, and finish are all adjustable. Tell us your wall dimensions and we build the right piece.
What makes this different
The two-tone wood, dark trunk against light caps, is a natural contrast that most mushroom shelves do not have. The dished cap surfaces, the forked root base, and the trunk extending past the top shelf all add to a design that looks like a living tree with bracket fungi growing from its bark. Carved from solid wood by hand. No molds, no machines.
Furniture Placement
- Position your furniture away from direct sunlight, or use blinds or curtains to reduce sun exposure.
- Always set your furniture on a level surface to preserve its balance and structure.
Cleaning & Upkeep
- Regularly wipe down your furniture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia, as these can ruin the finish and damage the wood.
Weight Capacity & Use
- Respect the recommended weight limit for each piece to ensure its durability.
- When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging or pushing to prevent surface scratches or joint damage.
Preventing Mold & Mildew
- Quickly wipe up any spills to stop moisture from penetrating the wood.
- In areas with high humidity, use a dehumidifier to maintain an ideal moisture balance.

No two tables are ever the same
Every plank carries its own grain, color, and knots. These aren't flaws - they are time's signature, the fingerprint of a tree that lived for decades. When you touch a Ashdeco table, you're touching the years it stood through.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our pieces, commissions, and care.
How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
Can I return a piece?
Ready-made pieces: 30-day returns (must arrive intact). Commissions: final sale (since they're custom-made for you). If anything arrives damaged, we'll repair or replace at no cost.
