Everything you need to know
Detailed information about this piece — tap a section to expand.
A vertical column of solid wood, mounted on your wall, carved to look like a living tree trunk. This mushroom tree column wall shelf has mushroom-cap shelves spiraling outward at different heights, and carved bird nest hollows in the trunk body. The hollows look like places where birds would nest, giving the whole piece a forest feel that goes beyond decoration.
Our Vietnamese artisans carve every piece by hand from a single solid wood block. This is not veneered plywood or boards glued together. It is one continuous piece of hardwood, shaped and sanded over several days until the trunk, the caps, and the hollows all emerge from the same block. The natural grain, knots, bark texture, and splits are all kept. No two columns look the same.

Three nook designs to choose from
Small Nook: One bird nest hollow carved into the trunk. Clean, minimal, lets the mushroom shelves do most of the talking. Good if you want sculpture with a single focal point.
Two Nooks: Two bird nest hollows, one near the top and one in the middle. More places to style, more depth in the trunk. The most popular choice.
Big Nook (This product): One large bird nest cavity that takes up a bigger portion of the trunk. Room for a larger plant, a terrarium, a cluster of objects, or a single statement piece. This version leans more toward wall art than shelving.
Solid wood trunk body
The body is carved from a single block of solid hardwood. The grain wraps around the form naturally, and the texture shifts depending on the light and angle. Because the wood is one piece, the weight is real. You feel the quality the moment you pick it up. If you like this approach, take a look at our Tree bookshelves.
Spiral mushroom-cap shelves
Each mushroom cap shelf is hand-shaped with a curved surface and a ribbed underside, like a real bracket fungus. Wide enough for candles, small plants, figurines, jars, or books. Shelf count is adjustable (3 to 6).
Bird nest hollows
Smooth walls, open at the front, completely empty on purpose. Put in a ceramic bird, trailing ivy, dried wildflowers, a tealight, or leave them bare and let the shadow do the work. Each hollow fits objects up to about 5 to 6 inches tall. Change what you put inside with the seasons.
We also offer a custom waterproofing service that seals the interior for living moss, aquatic plants, or small water features. Contact our team.
Fully customizable
Mushroom shelf count (3 to 6), nook size and count, column height, wood species, and finish tone are all adjustable. LED lighting is available. Tell us your wall and we will design the right column for it.
How this differs from other mushroom shelves
Most mushroom floating shelves on the market are small resin or MDF pieces, mass-produced and identical. This is a full-height, solid wood sculpture with integrated shelving and carved bird nest hollows, shaped by hand over multiple days. Nobody else offers this combination of mushroom-cap shelves and bird nest hollows carved from a single block of hardwood.
Furniture Placement
- Position your furniture away from direct sunlight, or use blinds or curtains to reduce sun exposure.
- Always set your furniture on a level surface to preserve its balance and structure.
Cleaning & Upkeep
- Regularly wipe down your furniture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia, as these can ruin the finish and damage the wood.
Weight Capacity & Use
- Respect the recommended weight limit for each piece to ensure its durability.
- When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging or pushing to prevent surface scratches or joint damage.
Preventing Mold & Mildew
- Quickly wipe up any spills to stop moisture from penetrating the wood.
- In areas with high humidity, use a dehumidifier to maintain an ideal moisture balance.

No two tables are ever the same
Every plank carries its own grain, color, and knots. These aren't flaws - they are time's signature, the fingerprint of a tree that lived for decades. When you touch a Ashdeco table, you're touching the years it stood through.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our pieces, commissions, and care.
How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
Can I return a piece?
Ready-made pieces: 30-day returns (must arrive intact). Commissions: final sale (since they're custom-made for you). If anything arrives damaged, we'll repair or replace at no cost.
