Thac Huynh was born in Hue into a family with a long tradition of royal-style wood carving, and you can see that patience in every piece he touches. He calls it “being slow in the right places.”
He specializes in fine detail carving - especially the ribbed undersides on Ashdeco’s mushroom shelves, all shaped carefully by his own hands. Around the workshop, the other craftsmen joke that he probably counts every single ridge one by one.
Man Thac never argues with them. Mostly because… they’re probably right.

A single branch leans against your wall. Five mushroom caps spiral up from the wood, alternating left and right like bracket fungi climbing a fallen tree in the forest.
Our artisans carve the entire piece from solid wood. The central branch runs on a clean diagonal, smooth and rounded with visible grain running along its length. Each mushroom cap extends outward at a different angle, and the gill lines on the underside of every cap are carved individually, radiating from where the cap meets the branch to the outer edge.
No niche, no hollow, no LED. Just wood and shelves. This is the stripped-down version of our mushroom trunk series. Five functional surfaces, a sculptural silhouette, and nothing extra. The caps alternate sides as they climb the branch, creating a zigzag rhythm that gives each shelf its own space and keeps displayed items from crowding each other.

They alternate all the way to the top, where the largest cap holds the most surface area. Each cap has a smooth, gently curved top for placing objects and hand-carved gill texture underneath for visual depth. How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
Can I return a piece?
Ready-made pieces: 30-day returns (must arrive intact). Commissions: final sale (since they're custom-made for you). If anything arrives damaged, we'll repair or replace at no cost.
