Everything you need to know
Detailed information about this piece — tap a section to expand.
A rough bark trunk runs vertical on your wall. Three large mushroom cap shelves grow from the trunk on thick, curved stems, alternating left and right at different heights. The trunk keeps its raw bark texture, dark and weathered. The stems and caps are sanded smooth in a lighter golden tone. The contrast between the rough dark trunk and the polished light caps is the first thing you notice.
Our Vietnamese artisans carve every piece by hand from solid wood. The trunk retains its natural bark surface while the stems and caps are shaped and sanded smooth. The grain is visible across every surface, running from stem into cap in one continuous flow.

Three wide mushroom cap shelves
Each cap is broad and round with a smooth, slightly domed top surface showing natural wood grain rings. The top cap extends to the left, the middle cap extends to the left at a lower height, and the right cap sits between them on the opposite side. Each shelf is wide enough to hold a book, a potted plant, a candle in a glass, or a small ceramic piece. The caps are the widest part of the piece, projecting well beyond the trunk on each side.
Deep gill carving on the front face of every cap
The gill lines under each cap are carved deep, tight, and evenly spaced, radiating from the stem outward to the rim. The carving is the most detailed element of the piece. At eye level, the gills create a sunburst pattern that catches side light and produces shadow lines that shift throughout the day. This is not surface scratching. Each gill line is individually cut into the wood.
Thick curved stems
Each cap connects to the trunk through a thick, curved stem that wraps slightly around the trunk before sweeping outward and upward to support the cap from below. The stems are smooth and rounded, noticeably thick compared to thin bracket-style arms. They give the piece structural visual weight and make each mushroom look like it genuinely grew from the bark.
Raw bark trunk
The trunk surface is left rough with natural bark texture, cracks, knot holes, and weathered grain. The bark is not sanded away or coated over. It provides the dark, textured backdrop that makes the smooth light caps stand out. The trunk extends above the top shelf and below the bottom shelf, completing the tree trunk silhouette on your wall.

What makes this different
The two-tone contrast between raw bark trunk and polished smooth caps is natural, not painted. The thick curved stems and deep gill carving give this piece
Furniture Placement
- Position your furniture away from direct sunlight, or use blinds or curtains to reduce sun exposure.
- Always set your furniture on a level surface to preserve its balance and structure.
Cleaning & Upkeep
- Regularly wipe down your furniture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia, as these can ruin the finish and damage the wood.
Weight Capacity & Use
- Respect the recommended weight limit for each piece to ensure its durability.
- When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging or pushing to prevent surface scratches or joint damage.
Preventing Mold & Mildew
- Quickly wipe up any spills to stop moisture from penetrating the wood.
- In areas with high humidity, use a dehumidifier to maintain an ideal moisture balance.

No two tables are ever the same
Every plank carries its own grain, color, and knots. These aren't flaws - they are time's signature, the fingerprint of a tree that lived for decades. When you touch a Ashdeco table, you're touching the years it stood through.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our pieces, commissions, and care.
How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
Can I return a piece?
Ready-made pieces: 30-day returns (must arrive intact). Commissions: final sale (since they're custom-made for you). If anything arrives damaged, we'll repair or replace at no cost.
