Everything you need to know
Detailed information about this piece — tap a section to expand.
A thick tree stump anchors to your wall with deep bark grooves running down its full height. Four polished round tray platforms extend from its sides, each one smooth and golden on top with a carved gill band underneath and a raised rim that keeps small objects from sliding off.
Raw Bark Trunk Meets Polished Tray Shelves
The contrast is the point. The trunk is rough, textured, and deeply carved with bark ridges, knots, and split-grain grooves that look like they were pulled from a forest floor. The platforms are the opposite. Every tray surface is sanded to a warm satin polish with tight, clean grain lines visible across the full diameter. The raised rim around each tray is turned smooth and rounded. Where the rough trunk meets the polished platform, a carved gill band rings the connection point, bridging the two textures with a band of fine radial lines.
4 Round Tray Platforms with Raised Rims
Each platform is shaped like a shallow wooden tray with a smooth concave center and a raised lip around the entire outer edge. The raised rim is tall enough to keep a terracotta pot, a glass candle jar, or a small ceramic vase from tipping, while low enough to see the full surface from across the room.
Platform sizes graduate from top to bottom:
• Top-left platform: The widest tray, holds a 4-inch potted succulent in a terracotta pot comfortably
• Middle-left platform: Slightly narrower, holds a glass votive candle, a jar candle, or a small dish of stones
• Middle-right platform: Holds a small framed photo leaning against the wall with a bud vase beside it
• Bottom-right platform: The smallest tray, holds a dried star anise cluster, a small figurine, or a single tea light
Carved Gill Band at Every Junction
Where each tray meets the trunk, a ring of hand-carved gill lines wraps around the underside of the platform. The gills are carved in a tight radial pattern that fans from the trunk outward, creating a textured border between the rough bark and the polished tray. The gill band is visible from eye level and catches overhead light in fine parallel shadow lines.
Deep Bark Texture on Stump Trunk
The trunk is carved thick and round with pronounced bark features: deep vertical grooves, raised ridges, natural knot holes, and grain fissures that run the full height. The top of the trunk is cut flat and sanded smooth, showing the end-grain cross-section of the wood.

No two tables are ever the same
Every plank carries its own grain, color, and knots. These aren't flaws - they are time's signature, the fingerprint of a tree that lived for decades. When you touch a Ashdeco table, you're touching the years it stood through.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our pieces, commissions, and care.
How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
Can I return a piece?
Ready-made pieces: 30-day returns (must arrive intact). Commissions: final sale (since they're custom-made for you). If anything arrives damaged, we'll repair or replace at no cost.
