Everything you need to know
Detailed information about this piece — tap a section to expand.
A solid wood trunk mounted flat on your wall with four mushroom-cap shelves fanning outward in matched pairs and a carved bird nest hollow right in the center. The upper pair of caps sits at the same height, one reaching left and one reaching right. The lower pair mirrors the same layout below. The hollow sits between the two tiers, giving the whole piece a balanced, symmetrical look that still feels organic.
Our Vietnamese artisans carve every piece by hand from a single solid wood block. The trunk, the branch arms, the mushroom caps, and the hollow all come from the same piece of hardwood. The natural grain runs continuously from base to top. Every knot, color shift, and split in the wood stays visible.

Two tiers of paired mushroom-cap shelves
Four shelves total, arranged in two bilateral tiers. Each tier has one cap extending left and one extending right, creating a balanced wingspan on both sides of the trunk. Every cap is hand-shaped with a smooth curved top for display and deeply carved gill lines on the front face, radiating from the branch connection to the outer rim. The gill carving catches light and shadow throughout the day. Each shelf is wide enough for a potted plant, a candle, a small vase, or a figurine.
Central bird nest hollow
One oval hollow carved into the front of the trunk, positioned between the upper and lower shelf tiers. The opening is framed by the natural contour of the wood, giving it the look of a tree cavity where a bird would nest. The hollow ships empty. Place a ceramic bird, a small succulent, crystals, a tealight, or leave it bare. Each hollow fits objects up to about 5 to 6 inches tall.
Looking for a living moss or aquatic setup inside the hollow? We offer a custom waterproofing service. Contact our team for details.
Solid wood, one block
The whole piece is carved from a single block of hardwood. Not assembled from separate boards. Not veneered. The grain wraps around the trunk and follows each branch outward into the caps. The warm golden tone comes from the natural wood, sealed with a protective oil finish that keeps the surface smooth without hiding the texture. You feel the weight and density the moment you handle it.
Fully customizable
Shelf count (2 to 6), nook size and count, trunk height, wood species, and finish tone are all adjustable. LED lighting inside the hollow is available. Tell us your wall and we build the right piece for it.
What makes this different
The symmetrical paired layout sets this apart from staggered or spiral mushroom shelves. Each tier fans outward evenly on both sides, creating a clean visual balance that works in formal spaces, not just bohemian rooms. Combined with the bird nest hollow and hand-carved gill detail on every shelf, this is wall sculpture that holds real objects. Nobody else carves paired mushroom-cap shelves with gill detail from a single block of solid wood.
Furniture Placement
- Position your furniture away from direct sunlight, or use blinds or curtains to reduce sun exposure.
- Always set your furniture on a level surface to preserve its balance and structure.
Cleaning & Upkeep
- Regularly wipe down your furniture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia, as these can ruin the finish and damage the wood.
Weight Capacity & Use
- Respect the recommended weight limit for each piece to ensure its durability.
- When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging or pushing to prevent surface scratches or joint damage.
Preventing Mold & Mildew
- Quickly wipe up any spills to stop moisture from penetrating the wood.
- In areas with high humidity, use a dehumidifier to maintain an ideal moisture balance.

No two tables are ever the same
Every plank carries its own grain, color, and knots. These aren't flaws - they are time's signature, the fingerprint of a tree that lived for decades. When you touch a Ashdeco table, you're touching the years it stood through.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our pieces, commissions, and care.
How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
Can I return a piece?
Ready-made pieces: 30-day returns (must arrive intact). Commissions: final sale (since they're custom-made for you). If anything arrives damaged, we'll repair or replace at no cost.
