Everything you need to know
Detailed information about this piece — tap a section to expand.
A tree stump turned into a coffee table. The round live edge top sits on a full bark-covered trunk that widens into a spread of natural root feet at the base. Two mushroom cap shelves grow from the trunk at mid-height, one on each side, adding side surfaces for a remote, a coaster, a candle, or a small plant. The stump keeps its raw bark exterior. The tabletop and mushroom caps are sanded smooth in a lighter golden tone. You get the rough texture of a real tree trunk and the polished function of an actual table in one piece.
Our Vietnamese artisans carve every piece by hand from a single solid wood block. The tabletop, the trunk, both mushroom caps, and the root base all come from the same piece of hardwood. Nothing is glued on or attached separately. The grain runs from the roots up through the trunk and into the tabletop.

Round live edge tabletop
The top surface is flat and smooth with visible wood grain rings and a natural wavy edge. The edge is not cut straight. It follows the original shape of the wood, dipping and rising where the tree grew. The surface holds coffee cups, books, a tray, a small lamp, or display objects.
Two mushroom cap side shelves
One cap extends to the left, one to the right, both at mid-height on the trunk. Each cap is hand-shaped with a smooth top surface and gill carving on the front-facing underside. The gill lines radiate from the stem outward to the cap rim. The side shelves add extra surfaces without making the table wider at the top. They hold a remote control, a drink coaster, a succulent, or a small decorative item.
Bark trunk with root base
The trunk keeps its natural bark texture from top to bottom. Cracks, knot marks, and grain ridges are preserved. At the base, the trunk widens into several root feet that spread across the floor. The roots provide a stable footprint and give the table a grounded, organic look. The root spread is wider than the trunk, keeping the table steady on flat surfaces.
Fully customizable
Tabletop diameter, table height, cap count (1 to 3), root spread width, wood species, and finish tone are all adjustable. Tell us your living room layout and we build the right table.
What makes this different
Most tree stump tables are just a flat top on a cut trunk. This one has sculpted mushroom cap shelves with gill carving, a two-tone bark and polished finish, and a natural root base that spreads across the floor. The combination of raw bark texture, smooth polished surfaces, side shelving, and a root foundation is something no other shop offers in a single solid wood piece.
Furniture Placement
- Position your furniture away from direct sunlight, or use blinds or curtains to reduce sun exposure.
- Always set your furniture on a level surface to preserve its balance and structure.
Cleaning & Upkeep
- Regularly wipe down your furniture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia, as these can ruin the finish and damage the wood.
Weight Capacity & Use
- Respect the recommended weight limit for each piece to ensure its durability.
- When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging or pushing to prevent surface scratches or joint damage.
Preventing Mold & Mildew
- Quickly wipe up any spills to stop moisture from penetrating the wood.
- In areas with high humidity, use a dehumidifier to maintain an ideal moisture balance.

No two tables are ever the same
Every plank carries its own grain, color, and knots. These aren't flaws - they are time's signature, the fingerprint of a tree that lived for decades. When you touch a Ashdeco table, you're touching the years it stood through.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our pieces, commissions, and care.
How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
Can I return a piece?
Ready-made pieces: 30-day returns (must arrive intact). Commissions: final sale (since they're custom-made for you). If anything arrives damaged, we'll repair or replace at no cost.
