Everything you need to know
Detailed information about this piece — tap a section to expand.
Four half-round shelves sit at staggered heights along a carved trunk, each one shaped like a bracket mushroom growing from the bark of a standing tree. Natural light from a nearby window catches the carved gill lines under every shelf and throws long shadow fingers across the wall behind it. The piece is compact enough for a bathroom wall, a kitchen nook, or a narrow hallway, but detailed enough to hold attention in a living room.
Each cap is a D-shape: flat where it meets the trunk, curved where it faces the room. The top surface dips slightly inward, creating a shallow dish that cradles small objects and keeps them from sliding forward off the shelf. The dished surface holds a potted succulent, a votive candle, a bar of soap, a ceramic cup, or a small bottle without needing a lip or rail.
The front face of every cap carries the deepest gill carving in our mushroom shelf line. The grooves are cut wide and spaced close, creating a dense pattern that runs from the trunk connection all the way to the outer rim. At eye level, the gill pattern dominates the shelf. The carving is the first thing visitors notice and the last thing they expect to see on a functional shelf.
Short branch arms connect each cap to the trunk in a Y-fork joint. The arms curve slightly downward before sweeping up to meet the underside of the cap, replicating the way a real bracket fungus attaches to a host tree. The forked connection adds structural character without adding visual bulk.
The trunk runs straight and vertical with carved grain texture along the entire length. The surface shows natural wood detail: vertical striations, small knot marks, and grain flow lines. The trunk extends above the top cap and below the bottom cap, completing the tree segment look. Mounting hardware is visible on the trunk face as a functional design element.
Our artisans carve the entire piece from solid wood. The trunk, every branch fork, and all four caps are one continuous piece of hardwood in a warm golden satin finish.

No two tables are ever the same
Every plank carries its own grain, color, and knots. These aren't flaws - they are time's signature, the fingerprint of a tree that lived for decades. When you touch a Ashdeco table, you're touching the years it stood through.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our pieces, commissions, and care.
How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
Can I return a piece?
Ready-made pieces: 30-day returns (must arrive intact). Commissions: final sale (since they're custom-made for you). If anything arrives damaged, we'll repair or replace at no cost.
