Everything you need to know
Detailed information about this piece — tap a section to expand.
A round coffee table shaped like a giant mushroom cap sitting on its stem. The tabletop is carved with a full sunburst gill pattern across the entire surface, radiating from a smooth center disc outward to the live edge rim. The gill lines are cut into the top of the table, not the underside. When light hits the surface at an angle, the grooves cast long thin shadows that fan across the full diameter of the table.
Our Vietnamese artisans carve every piece by hand from a single solid wood block. The tabletop, the pedestal stem, and the base foot are one continuous piece of hardwood. The gill lines on the top surface are carved individually, one by one, from the center to the edge. On a 30-inch top, that means over a hundred individual carved lines.

Carved gill tabletop
The top surface features hand-carved gill lines in a radial pattern, starting from a smooth circular center and fanning outward in tight, even spacing to the outer rim. The grooves are shallow enough to set a cup or a book on the surface without wobbling, but deep enough to see and feel the pattern clearly. The carving turns the tabletop into the visual centerpiece of the room. The wood grain shows between the gill lines, adding a second layer of natural pattern.
Live edge wavy rim
The outer edge of the tabletop follows a natural wavy contour. The rim is thick and rounded, rising and dipping where the wood grew. The live edge gives the table an organic outline that a machine-cut circle cannot replicate.
Sculpted mushroom pedestal
The single pedestal stem is shaped like a mushroom stem. It swells at the midsection, narrows where it meets the underside of the tabletop, and flares outward at the bottom into a smooth wavy base foot. The base foot sits flat on the floor with a wide enough spread for stability. The entire pedestal is sanded smooth with visible swirling grain patterns.
Fully customizable
Tabletop diameter, table height, gill line spacing (tight or wide), pedestal thickness, wood species, and finish tone are all adjustable. Tell us your room and we carve the right table.
What makes this different
Gill carving is usually hidden on the underside of a mushroom shelf where most people never see it closely. This table puts the gill pattern on the top surface, front and center, where you look at it every time you sit down. The full radial sunburst across a wide round solid wood top, combined with a sculpted pedestal and live edge rim, is a piece that functions as both furniture and sculpture.

Furniture Placement
- Position your furniture away from direct sunlight, or use blinds or curtains to reduce sun exposure.
- Always set your furniture on a level surface to preserve its balance and structure.
Cleaning & Upkeep
- Regularly wipe down your furniture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia, as these can ruin the finish and damage the wood.
Weight Capacity & Use
- Respect the recommended weight limit for each piece to ensure its durability.
- When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging or pushing to prevent surface scratches or joint damage.
Preventing Mold & Mildew
- Quickly wipe up any spills to stop moisture from penetrating the wood.
- In areas with high humidity, use a dehumidifier to maintain an ideal moisture balance.

No two tables are ever the same
Every plank carries its own grain, color, and knots. These aren't flaws - they are time's signature, the fingerprint of a tree that lived for decades. When you touch a Ashdeco table, you're touching the years it stood through.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our pieces, commissions, and care.
How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
Can I return a piece?
Ready-made pieces: 30-day returns (must arrive intact). Commissions: final sale (since they're custom-made for you). If anything arrives damaged, we'll repair or replace at no cost.
