Chung Dai
Master Craftsman
Chung Dai comes from the third generation of a woodworking family in Binh Dinh - a region famous for precious hardwoods and old-school craftsmanship. Around the workshop, he’s the man people trust with the hardest pieces: tree trunk furniture and log benches, the kind of work where you have to understand the whole tree before you even think about touching a chisel to it.

Why This Solid Wood Sculptural Bench Is Different
This bench stands out because it masterfully combines artistic sculpture with real everyday usability. While most benches are simple and rectangular, this hand-sculpted wave design celebrates the natural beauty of wood through soft, organic curves. The solid wood construction ensures exceptional durability and a warm, inviting presence that instantly elevates any room. It is far more than seating - it is a functional work of art that brings movement, calmness, and sophistication into your home.
Ideal Placement:
Perfect for entryways, living rooms, at the foot of the bed, hallways, reading nooks, or as an accent piece in modern organic, Japandi, Wabi-Sabi, minimalist, and contemporary interiors. Its elegant form pairs beautifully with sofas, large mirrors, natural light, and neutral furnishings.
Honest Limitations
Because this bench is entirely handmade from natural solid wood, slight variations in grain pattern, color tone, and exact curve details are normal and expected. These natural characteristics are what make your bench uniquely yours. The piece performs best in indoor environments with stable humidity and proper care.
Fully Customizable:
This sculptural bench can be tailored to your exact needs. You can customize the overall length, depth, height, curve intensity, and thickness to perfectly suit your space and style. Custom thickness is also available with reasonable additional fees.
Furniture Placement
- Position your furniture away from direct sunlight, or use blinds or curtains to reduce sun exposure.
- Always set your furniture on a level surface to preserve its balance and structure.
Cleaning & Upkeep
- Regularly wipe down your furniture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia, as these can ruin the finish and damage the wood.
Weight Capacity & Use
- Respect the recommended weight limit for each piece to ensure its durability.
- When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging or pushing to prevent surface scratches or joint damage.
Preventing Mold & Mildew
- Quickly wipe up any spills to stop moisture from penetrating the wood.
- In areas with high humidity, use a dehumidifier to maintain an ideal moisture balance.

No two tables are ever the same
Every plank carries its own grain, color, and knots. These aren't flaws - they are time's signature, the fingerprint of a tree that lived for decades. When you touch a Ashdeco table, you're touching the years it stood through.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our pieces, commissions, and care.
How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
Can I return a piece?
Ready-made pieces: 30-day returns (must arrive intact). Commissions: final sale (since they're custom-made for you). If anything arrives damaged, we'll repair or replace at no cost.
