Everything you need to know
Detailed information about this piece — tap a section to expand.
Two stems wrap around each other as they climb, braiding into a single sculptural trunk. Four mushroom platforms flare outward from the braid with wavy, undulating rims that ripple like the edge of a chanterelle.
Our artisans carve this entire piece from solid wood, sculpting the double-stem braid so the two strands weave in and out of each other with smooth, continuous grain running through every twist. Where the stems cross, the carving creates a tight, muscular knot of wood that adds visual weight to the center of the piece.
4 wavy-rim mushroom platforms. Each shelf flares from the braided trunk with a broad surface and a softly undulating outer edge. The rim rises and dips in gentle waves, giving each platform an organic, flowing outline that no two caps share exactly. The wavy edges catch light differently across the surface, creating subtle shadow play that changes throughout the day. Each platform is wide enough for a terracotta pot, a ceramic bowl, a vase of pampas grass, or a small brass bell and incense holder.
Dense gill carving with visible depth. The underside of every platform carries tightly spaced gill lines radiating from the trunk outward to the wavy rim. The gills follow the undulating edge, fanning wider where the rim dips and compressing where it rises. This creates a natural variation in the gill pattern that reinforces the organic feel. The carving is deep enough to see clearly from standing height.
Intertwined double-stem trunk. The trunk is not a single column. Two carved stems spiral around each other from base to top, crossing and recrossing with smooth transitions at every intersection. The braided form adds structural visual weight and gives the piece a sense of tension and movement that a straight trunk cannot achieve. The top finishes with a smooth, rounded wood knob where the stems converge.
What goes into every piece:
• Solid wood throughout, carved from a single block
• 4 mushroom platforms with undulating wavy rims
• Dense hand-carved gill pattern under every platform
• Intertwined double-stem braided trunk
• Smooth, polished surface with warm golden tone
• Concealed wall-mount bracket system, all hardware included
Where it belongs. In a living room as wall sculpture that holds your favorite objects. In a bedroom beside a full-length mirror. At the end of a hallway where it catches natural light from a window. In a bathroom for dried flowers and ceramic jars. The braided trunk commands attention on any wall and works with boho, cottagecore, organic modern, art nouveau, and wabi-sabi interiors.
Handcrafted by Vietnamese artisans. Every braided crossing, every wavy rim, every gill line is shaped by hand. No molds. No machines. No two pieces alike.

No two tables are ever the same
Every plank carries its own grain, color, and knots. These aren't flaws - they are time's signature, the fingerprint of a tree that lived for decades. When you touch a Ashdeco table, you're touching the years it stood through.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our pieces, commissions, and care.
How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
Can I return a piece?
Ready-made pieces: 30-day returns (must arrive intact). Commissions: final sale (since they're custom-made for you). If anything arrives damaged, we'll repair or replace at no cost.
