Chris Wu
Master Craftsman
Chris Wu handles most of the custom-size orders at Ashdeco - the strange ones, the complicated ones, the “are we even sure this can work?” kind of projects. Crooked walls, awkward corners, unusual dimensions, sketches drawn on napkins… somehow, those jobs usually end up on his workbench.

Designed with sweeping, wave-like side profiles and stepped, forward-facing display ledges, this freestanding rack showcases your favorite art books, design journals, and magazines in full view. It combines sculptural organic lines with everyday storage efficiency, allowing you to browse and select publications with effortless ease.
Authentic Solid Wood Character
Crafted entirely from genuine solid wood, this magazine rack brings the rich, tactile warmth of natural timber into your space. Touch the smoothly contoured side panels to feel the authentic quality of true wood construction. Every single piece possesses its own natural identity - highlighting continuous grain flows, deep rich wood tones, soft tonal shifts, and unique timber knot signatures that deepen in character over time. A protective clear seal shields the wood surface while maintaining its warm, tactile touch.

Honest Limitations & Maintenance
- Natural Wood Variations: As an authentic solid wood creation, natural variations in grain texture, color depth, and timber knot signatures are genuine marks of real wood craft.
- Open Display Structure: Designed specifically for forward-facing display and easy access to publications rather than concealed storage.
- Care Instructions: Dust regularly with a soft, dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth. Wipe away spills promptly to preserve the smooth protective finish.
Furniture Placement
- Position your furniture away from direct sunlight, or use blinds or curtains to reduce sun exposure.
- Always set your furniture on a level surface to preserve its balance and structure.
Cleaning & Upkeep
- Regularly wipe down your furniture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia, as these can ruin the finish and damage the wood.
Weight Capacity & Use
- Respect the recommended weight limit for each piece to ensure its durability.
- When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging or pushing to prevent surface scratches or joint damage.
Preventing Mold & Mildew
- Quickly wipe up any spills to stop moisture from penetrating the wood.
- In areas with high humidity, use a dehumidifier to maintain an ideal moisture balance.

No two tables are ever the same
Every plank carries its own grain, color, and knots. These aren't flaws - they are time's signature, the fingerprint of a tree that lived for decades. When you touch a Ashdeco table, you're touching the years it stood through.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our pieces, commissions, and care.
How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
Can I return a piece?
Ready-made pieces: 30-day returns (must arrive intact). Commissions: final sale (since they're custom-made for you). If anything arrives damaged, we'll repair or replace at no cost.
