A solid wood sideboard with a hand-carved mushroom tree growing out of the back.
Three doors across the front, each one pulled open by a carved 3D mushroom handle. Behind them: full-width storage split into three compartments for dishes, linens, media equipment, barware, or whatever needs hiding. On top, a short tree trunk rises from the back center of the cabinet and branches outward in both directions. Each branch tip holds a hand-carved mushroom cap. The whole canopy spreads across the back of the top surface like a miniature forest sculpture you can arrange small objects around.
The Cabinet
Three solid wood doors with recessed panel framing. The door faces have a subtle live-edge trim along their inner borders, following the natural grain line instead of a straight machine cut. Each door sits on concealed hinges and opens to reveal a separate compartment with room for an adjustable shelf. The three mushroom handles are carved from the same wood species as the body. Each one has a rounded cap and a short stem, sized to grip comfortably.
The Mushroom Tree
The sculptural tree trunk at the back of the top surface is carved from a single solid wood section. It stands roughly 10 to 12 inches tall before the branches begin spreading. Six to eight branches fan out left and right in a natural, slightly asymmetric pattern. A mushroom cap sits at the tip of each branch. The caps vary slightly in size and tilt angle. The whole assembly is structural, fixed to the cabinet body through the top panel with an internal steel dowel.
Top Surface
The flat top runs the full width of the cabinet with a live-edge front profile that follows the wood's natural contour. The surface area in front of the tree is wide enough for a TV, lamp, vase, or display arrangement. The back section wraps around the base of the trunk.
Legs
Four short angled legs with a slight outward splay. The leg shape is organic, with soft tapers and rounded ends instead of sharp factory corners. They raise the cabinet a few inches off the floor for airflow and easy cleaning.
Wood and Finish
Honey-amber solid wood throughout. Hand-applied oil finish brings out the natural grain, knots, and color variation without adding a plastic coat. The cabinet contains zero MDF, zero veneer, and zero composite filler. The grain you see is the actual wood surface.

No two tables are ever the same
Every plank carries its own grain, color, and knots. These aren't flaws - they are time's signature, the fingerprint of a tree that lived for decades. When you touch a Ashdeco table, you're touching the years it stood through.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our pieces, commissions, and care.
How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
Can I return a piece?
Ready-made pieces: 30-day returns (must arrive intact). Commissions: final sale (since they're custom-made for you). If anything arrives damaged, we'll repair or replace at no cost.
