Everything you need to know
Detailed information about this piece — tap a section to expand.
The tabletop is a full mushroom cap. Round, slightly domed at the center, with a soft lip curving down around the edge. Underneath that cap sits a compact body shaped like a thick mushroom stem, with a pull-out drawer on one side and an open shelf below it.
This is a nightstand that looks like a mushroom from across the room and functions like real bedroom furniture up close. The drawer holds your phone, charger, glasses, medication, whatever you reach for in the dark. The open shelf below fits a book or two, a small speaker, or a water bottle where you can grab it without opening anything.
Construction
The cap, body, drawer, shelf, and legs are all carved from solid walnut. The cap overhangs the body by a few inches on all sides, creating a visual separation between the mushroom top and the stem below. That overhang also gives you more surface area than the footprint suggests. Plenty of room for a lamp, a mug, your phone, and a small plant all at once.
The legs curve outward from the base of the stem, flaring slightly like roots reaching into the floor. Three legs, evenly spaced, stable on carpet or hardwood. No wobble.
The drawer
Full-extension wooden drawer with a smooth pull. No metal slides or plastic rollers. The front face of the drawer follows the curve of the stem, so it sits flush when closed and the entire nightstand reads as one continuous shape.
Carved detail
The underside of the mushroom cap has carved gill lines radiating from the center outward. You will see them when you sit on the bed and look across at the nightstand. It is the kind of detail guests notice and ask about.
Where it fits
Bedside, obviously. But it works just as well as a living room side table next to an armchair, a reading nook accent table, or a hallway piece near the front door for keys and mail. The mushroom shape fits cottagecore, woodland, organic modern, and boho interiors without looking like a novelty.
Material and finish
Solid walnut with a satin oil finish. Warm brown tones with visible grain on every surface. Smooth, rounded edges throughout. The finish deepens naturally over time.

Every piece is carved by hand. Grain patterns, knot placement, and color variation differ from nightstand to nightstand. That is the point of buying handmade solid wood furniture.
Furniture Placement
- Position your furniture away from direct sunlight, or use blinds or curtains to reduce sun exposure.
- Always set your furniture on a level surface to preserve its balance and structure.
Cleaning & Upkeep
- Regularly wipe down your furniture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia, as these can ruin the finish and damage the wood.
Weight Capacity & Use
- Respect the recommended weight limit for each piece to ensure its durability.
- When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging or pushing to prevent surface scratches or joint damage.
Preventing Mold & Mildew
- Quickly wipe up any spills to stop moisture from penetrating the wood.
- In areas with high humidity, use a dehumidifier to maintain an ideal moisture balance.

No two tables are ever the same
Every plank carries its own grain, color, and knots. These aren't flaws - they are time's signature, the fingerprint of a tree that lived for decades. When you touch a Ashdeco table, you're touching the years it stood through.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our pieces, commissions, and care.
How long does shipping take?
In Vietnam: 3-5 days. International: 10-14 days. Larger pieces (tables, cabinets) may take longer due to custom crating. All shipments include tracking and insurance.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated by weight + dimensions at checkout. You'll see the exact quote before paying.
How long does a commission take?
4-8 weeks depending on complexity. A 6-seater dining table takes ~6 weeks, a console cabinet ~4 weeks, a large sideboard ~8 weeks.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
50% deposit is required when you confirm sketches. The remaining 50% is due when the piece is finished, before shipping. Full refund within 48 hours of deposit if you change your mind.
How do I take care of my wood piece?
Wipe with a damp cloth — no chemicals. Apply wood oil 1-2 times per year (we include a starter bottle). Avoid direct sunlight and big humidity changes.
What if my piece develops cracks?
Wood expands and contracts with humidity — minor cracks are natural and part of the material. Major cracks within the first year: we fix free. After 1 year, we charge labor only.
Can I return a piece?
Ready-made pieces: 30-day returns (must arrive intact). Commissions: final sale (since they're custom-made for you). If anything arrives damaged, we'll repair or replace at no cost.
